The short version

Toolbox does not use accounts, analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. We do not collect or sell your personal information.

Your tool data

Text, files, and preferences created in Toolbox stay in your browser. Txtr saves its current buffer and files using browser storage on your device. This data is not uploaded to or stored on our servers.

You can remove this data through your browser's site-data or storage settings.

URL imports

If you ask Txtr to open a URL, the URL is sent to the Toolbox server so it can retrieve the requested content. We do not retain the URL or the retrieved content after completing the request. Avoid importing URLs that contain sensitive information.

Third parties

Toolbox does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or social-media trackers. Our hosting provider may process standard technical request data, such as your IP address, to operate and secure the service.

We may update this notice when Toolbox changes. Questions or concerns can be reported through the project's GitHub issue tracker.
